This is my first time linking up to “Freshly Pieced” Work in progress Wednesday. Here’s what I have.
1) My most urgent quilt right now is my “Pirate Ship Quilt.”
This is the layout I am aiming for. So far so good.
2) My next quilt is one that I just cut the pieces last night. It will be a scrappy baby boy quilt heavily inspired by “I’m a Ginger Monkey‘s” Technicolor Yawn quilt. Isn’t that quilt amazing. Mine will be featuring green, brown, aqua, and blue scraps. And, I’ll be breaking it up with a white solid using HSTs instead of the diamond shapes. We’ll see how it goes!
3) The quilt after that is a string quilt that I began because I had a bunch of black and white scraps. I saw this quilt in “Film in the Fridge” and decided I had to have one, too. I hope that is OK
.
4) Another quilt is one that will be made of blocks like this.
I call it a bursting star block, and as soon as I get it done, I can make a PDF for the paper piecing technique I used to make it.
I also have pieces cut out for another one of these, but I’m lacking the motivation to make another one. I have already made two. Maybe counting it as a WIP will motivate me to finish it, though
:
I also recently finished this:
So, to sum up:
5 Works in Progress.
1 completion.
