Scrappy rag quilt

What do you get when you take the scraps from these quilts….

pink and green baby quilt

manly wonky star quilt

A vintage sheet quilt

a checkerboard pink green and black quilt

a jelly roll quilt

A brown boy quilt

Queen sized nine patch scrappy quilt

and combine them with the batting scraps from my first 30 or so quilts?

You get a twin sized

very fluffy

debatably pretty

rag quilt.

This quilt is special to me for 2 reasons.

1) It is going to a great cause.

2) My daughters helped me make it.  I would sew one line in each of the squares (to make half of the “X” in the middle) and one daugter (7) would sew the other line on my old singer machine.  Then, my other daughter (5) would cut the thread holding the chain-pieced pieces together.

No, it is not the prettiest quilt I have made, but knowing that I made  it with my girls to help someone makes it probably one of my favorites.  After 2 times in the wash, and a lot of lint removing, we rolled it up and shipped it out.  May you be well used, scrappy quilt.
