Four Square quilts (18&19)

I made my little girls some pillowcase dresses.  And then, I made 6 more after that, so I had a lot of scraps that were cute and coordinated and cotton, so I thought I would make more quilts and practice more free motion quilting designs on them.  On both quilts, I cut the fabric in three sizes, 6.5 x 6.5, 3.5 x 3.5, or 3.5 x 6.5 so that I could mix and match to make 25 6-inch squares in the middle of the quilt, with a thick brown border.  I machine quilted them with a leaf and simple flourish pattern.  I love these quilts!   I love the colors, I love how the quilting turned out!

Quilt 18 went to my husband’s cousin, and they also had a baby girl (So many cousins, so many babies!!!)

Quilt #19

Quilt 19 was given to a neighbor, who also had a baby girl.  She uses this quilt when she sets the baby outside, and the little girl, who is now 10 months old, knows that this is her quilt and gets mad when anyone gets on it.  My neighbor also brought this quilt with her on a couple of outings and received compliments!  That was so fun to hear!!!
