End of Year 2012

Well, it being 2012 and all, I figure I should probably do my end of the year collage before the world ends. ūüėČ

I made 23 quilts this year. ¬†But before you get all judgy and say, “You made 50% more than that last year,” I would like to do a few stats for you.

1 King Quilt

13 twin or lap quilts

22 baby quilts

2 full size quilt

13 twin or lap quilts

8 baby quilts

OK, I don’t know what happened. ¬†Somehow, I was able to make a lot more quilts last year. ¬†However, I like to think that perhaps my quality has improved, thus making up for the lack of quantity. ¬†Sound fair?

Here are my three favorite quilts from 2012, in no particular order.  These quilts took me FOREVER to make.

I also made a few tutorials this year.

Dresden X

My Paper Piecing with Dresden Wedge Tutorial

Hybrid quilt block

My Hybrid Block Tutorial

homeward bound block

And my Homeward Bound Block tutorial

All in all, I consider 2012 to be a good year. ¬†I learned a lot more about balance this year, which also may explain why I only made 23 quilts (instead of 36 like 2011!). ¬†But, who knows, maybe you’ll see few quilts from me next year. ¬†:) ¬†Probably not.

Thanks for visiting!  Have a happy rest of your 2012!  See you in 2013!
