End of 2011

I know, it isn’t even Christmas yet, and I’m already doing an end of the year post.  But, since I am not really close to finishing another quilt this year (I’m stuck on the backing for one, and I’m still piecing another) I’m going to go ahead and post a few collages of the quilts I have made this year.

Have a Happy and Amazing 2012!

    Hi there,
I’ve just come across your blog whilst looking for quilt inspiration on the internet, and wow, your quilts are beautiful! I’ve just finished my first ever quilt – a christmas one for my children – it was very simple in design and not quilted like yours, but i’m proud of it. Your blog has inspired me to make another, be adventurous and build up my quilting skill. So thank you!

Thank you! Quilting is addictive, isn’t it? Good luck on your next project. The Internet is where I learned to quilt, so you are on the right path. 🙂

You’re so right, it is addictive. I’ve been sewing for a while, I started off making bags, but I’ve found that no matter what project I’m working on, I HAVE to have a project. I guess it is colouring in for grown ups, just that chance to be creative. What sewing machine do you use for your quilting?

I have a bernina 440 QE, and I do love it. I started off with a Singer, and it did well, but I think I may have tried to make it do too much. Once it started acting up on me, I made the switch.
